This scene takes place in an experimental theatre in which a play “Be Black Baby“ is happening. In the play the black actors paint the faces of the white audience black and reenact the treatment of black Americans onto the white audience.
This scene has always stood out as so powerful. Seeing the white audience come to a realization of what is going on, its just… perfect.
A very good piece of film for documenting the reality of racism.
